Laurel Marsh-60Laurel is a 500-hour certified Yoga Instructor who has been practicing consistently since 2006 and teaching since early 2013. Laurel completed her 300-hour training with Natasha Rizopoulos at Down Under School of Yoga in 2017.  She has also completed her Advanced Apprenticeship with Jacqui Bonwell, Restful Yoga training with Sandy Kalick, the Art of Assisting at Down Under, and The Roll Model Method with Jill Miller.  Laurel is certified in Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra, Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga, completed an eight week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program through the Center for Mindfulness at UMass Medical School and a 165-hour Foundations of Ayurveda at Down Under School of Yoga.  Laurel is Reiki I and CPR/First Aid certified.  She also contributed to Easton Yoga Center’s monthly newsletter and blog with her Anatomy of a Pose column and is a guest instructor with the Open Doors Yoga 200-hour teacher training.  In 2020 Laurel enrolled in the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy program to study massage therapy.  Stay tuned.

Laurel has experience with a wide range of participants.  She enjoys inspiring others to improve their wellness and body awareness, remain present, and build a deeper connection to their body, mind, and breath.  Though her classes are thoughtfully planned with an emphasis on alignment or a specific theme, she encourages students to be sensitive to their experience and respect what their body is telling them.  As an instructor and practitioner Laurel continues to expand her knowledge through workshops, trainings, and practice.
